You'd be another who doesn't read the fine print in your mortgage contract I guess.

"You should have pointed out that Israelis did not drive Muslims out of their homes or fight them because of their faith"

I agree, it hasn't been because they are Muslims. CHRISTIAN Palestinians were also driven out.

So, why did they AS YOU PUT IT, 'drive them out'?

For defense? If that was so, why has Israel claimed it for itself and settled civilians there. One does NOT put civilians in defensive positions. The Geneva Conventions are there to protect all civilians, on both sides of a stoush. The US does not have US civilians settling in Afghanistan or Iraq for defense.

When all the other arguments have been thoroughly dismantled with logic, the bottom line is that Israel has illegally acquired territory by war, based on the faith that has G-/od promising all of Palestine to Jewish folk.

In respect to having a homeland free from persecution, safe from another holocaust, we were given it. It was accepted on our behalves through the Jewish People's Council, as recommended by UNGA res 181, no more, no less. Israel was recognized based on the information provided in the notification to the International Community of States.
http://avalon.law.yale.edu/20th_century/decad169.asp

The majority of the International Community of States over rode the Arab States legal objections. Here is one of those recognitions
http://hansard.millbanksystems.com/commons/1950/apr/27/jordan-and-israel-government-decision

Israel exists with acknowledged and recognized Sovereign boundaries. What is outside of those acknowledged and recognized Sovereign boundaries is quite simply, NOT Israeli.

As to Hamas and their charter. They're are a response, as the caveat shows, to being dispossessed by force. Which is why it is never cited by those doing the appropriation in THEIR faith. Cherry picking 101, is propaganda. In-accurate.

If we wish to argue Israel's case, surely in the best Jewish tradition, we should be impeccably accurate. Not propagating a mess of fallacies. http://wp.me/PDB7k-Y

The policies of our homeland state ought reflect honesty, integrity and at the very least stick to it's voluntary obligation to adhere to International Law. After all, we were GIVEN, every inch of it gratis, (private, corporate & institutionally owned land is NOT sovereignty), more than enough land to accommodate every Jewish person on the planet.

"Since the Hamas Charter..."

...without the caveat...

"...is clearly genocidal in nature.."

Of course it is. Just like a mortgage contract, without the fine print, is all in your favour, until you fail to meet your voluntary obligations.Talknichttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13169078712802693284noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3451465052133798222.post-61337549549055981642010-03-11T21:38:06.877-05:002010-03-11T21:38:06.877-05:00Michael,
I have been bouncing back and forth betw...Michael,

I have been bouncing back and forth between your responses and Talknic's. It is a little confusing.

As to his last comment apparently supporting Hamas. All Sura 60, verse 8 says is that Muslims do not have to hate everyone, killing disbelievers is not, in itself, a crime in Islam. Further, the verse is even contradicted by Sura 25, verse 52 and Sura 9, verse 29.

You should have pointed out that Israelis did not drive Muslims out of their homes or fight them because of their faith. The Sura has no valid application as justification for violence against Israel. Since the Hamas Charter is clearly genocidal in nature, Talknic or anyone else that justifies the document by highlighting a bogus claim is indeed supporting genocide by giving credence to a lie, a lie used to justify violence.

I am enjoying the way you structure your arguments, but you do better when you drop the insults, imho. I understand the sentiment though.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3451465052133798222.post-68319316416927401012010-02-23T09:29:19.590-05:002010-02-23T09:29:19.590-05:00I guess, as you have recently posted at http://wp....I guess, as you have recently posted at http://wp.me/PDB7k-Y , you can post your next marathon denialist response where you entered the fray..

My response is there.Talknichttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13169078712802693284noreply@blogger.com
